This Privacy Policy explains how Hobifi collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal data when you use our website and mobile app. We are committed to handling your data in line with Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020 and its Executive Regulations.

1. Who we are

Hobifi ("we", "us", "our") operates a mobile marketplace for discovering and booking hobby classes in Egypt. For the purposes of the Personal Data Protection Law, Hobifi is the data controller responsible for your personal data. Our contact details are at the end of this policy.

2. What data we collect

• When you join our waitlist or newsletter: your email address.
• When you create an account or book a class (in the app): your name, email address, phone number, and details of the classes you browse and book.
• Payment information: payments are handled by our third-party payment processor. We do not store your full card details on our own systems.
• Information about children: where a parent or guardian books a class for a child, we process limited information about that child provided by the adult, who is responsible for providing it.
• Technical data: basic information such as device type, app version, and log data collected automatically to keep the service secure and working.

3. How and why we use your data

We use your personal data only for specific, legitimate purposes, including to:

• send you launch updates and news when you join our waitlist or newsletter;
• create and manage your account and process your class bookings;
• connect you with the instructors and studios whose classes you book;
• process payments and handle refunds;
• provide customer support and respond to your questions;
• keep the service secure and improve how it works.

Where we rely on your consent — for example, to send you marketing or newsletter emails — you can withdraw that consent at any time, and we stop.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only where needed to run the service:

• Instructors and studios you book with, so they can deliver your class. Under our agreement with them, instructors must use your details only to deliver that class, keep them confidential, and comply with Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law — they may not use your data for their own marketing or share it without consent.
• Service providers who act on our behalf — such as hosting, email delivery, and payment processing — under agreements that require them to protect your data.
• Authorities where we are required to do so by law.

Some of these providers may process data on servers located outside Egypt. Where that happens, we take steps to protect your data consistent with the requirements of the Personal Data Protection Law on cross-border transfers.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your personal data only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, or for as long as required by law. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your account, we remove your data unless we are required to retain some of it.

6. Your rights

Under the Personal Data Protection Law, you have the right to:

• know what personal data we hold about you and access it;
• correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete;
• ask us to delete your data;
• restrict or object to certain processing;
• withdraw consent you have given at any time;
• be informed if a breach affects your personal data.

7. How we protect your data

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against loss, misuse, and unauthorised access. If a breach occurs that affects your data, we will act in line with the notification requirements of the Personal Data Protection Law.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will update the date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you.
